Our Story
Welcome! I'm thrilled to share how this store came to be. My entrepreneurial journey began at just 12 years old, selling handmade wooden pens from my garage. The following year, I built an e-bike with a Chinese kit and learnt a lot, so I started a small e-bike repair business through Facebook. This business quickly opened my eyes to the vast difference between professionally built lithium battery packs and poorly made Chinese ones. I didn't truly grasp the gravity of this until my cheap Chinese e-bike charger overheated, causing the battery to explode as it didn't have a BMS and burn down my entire shed. After two years in the e-bike repair business and having thousands of dollars worth of supplies in my shed, this fire was devastating. I desperately wanted another e-bike, but my budget only allowed for another cheap Chinese model, and I wasn't willing to risk another fire. That's when inspiration struck: I tried connecting my existing drill batteries to an e-bike kit I'd bought online, and to my surprise, it worked remarkably well! This success sparked an idea for a new venture: selling electric vehicles powered by robust drill batteries. These batteries have all the needed safety features built into them and have a high-quality BMS. They also use high-discharge cells needed for power tools, but that also means they could be used for electric transportation like e-bikes. I decided to start with electric skateboards because while I was repairing e-bikes, I also repaired quite a few electric skateboards, and I fell in love with the mobility and adrenaline you get riding them. I also wanted to keep my first product small before venturing into larger vehicles like e-bikes and electric skateboards. I sourced a sample from overseas, invested in a 3D printer, built a new shed, learned to weld, and poured all my two-plus years of e-bike repair knowledge into creating this power tool battery-powered electric skateboard. We're currently running a pre-order campaign to gauge demand. If we get enough interest and sales, we'll move forward with future batches, as I want to confirm there's a market before investing heavily.
